Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Mavertex ("we", "us") is a collection of free online tools operated by Priyanka K, a freelance web developer based in Chennai, India, at mavertex.com. There is no company behind it and no sales team. You can reach us at info@mavertex.com or through our contact form.

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the site. We have tried to write it in plain language and to be specific about the places where data does leave your device, rather than making a blanket promise that would not be true.

2. You Do Not Need an Account

There is no sign-up, no login and no user profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details to use any tool. The only time you give us a personal detail is if you choose to email us or submit the contact form, and then we only use it to reply to you.

3. Most Tools Run Entirely in Your Browser

The majority of our tools — the PDF tools, image tools, the password generator, the formatters, the calculators and the text tools — process your file or text using JavaScript that is already running on your device. Your file is never uploaded. There is no copy of it on our side to leak, retain or hand over, because it never arrives.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run one of these tools. You will see no upload.

4. The Tools That Do Contact a Server

Some tasks are impossible in a browser alone, so a small number of tools send what you type to a server. We list them here rather than hiding the exception:

• WHOIS Lookup and Domain Checker — the domain you enter is sent to our server, which queries registry databases. Browsers cannot speak the WHOIS protocol directly.
• DNS Lookup — the domain you enter is sent to Google's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver at dns.google.
• Find My IP — returns the public IP address your connection is using, which is by definition visible to the server.
• Grammar Checker — when you press Check, your text is sent to the LanguageTool API and handled under their privacy policy.
• Text to Speech (download) — playback uses your device's own voice, but the MP3 download sends your text to our server, which uses Google's text-to-speech service.
• Hindi Lesson Translator — the text to be translated is sent to a translation service.
• Horoscope — the birth details you enter are sent to our server to calculate planetary positions.
• Speech to Text — runs through your browser's built-in Web Speech API. Nothing reaches us, but Chrome and Edge implement that feature by sending audio to their own speech services.

We do not store the queries, text or details you submit to these tools, and we do not build profiles from them. If something is genuinely confidential, use offline software instead.

5. Server Logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard access logs when a page is requested. These contain your IP address, the page requested, a timestamp, your browser and operating system version, and the referring page. They are used to keep the site running and to investigate errors and abuse, and they are kept for a limited period before being overwritten. We do not use them to identify individuals.

6. Cookies We Set: None

Mavertex does not set any cookies of its own, and does not store anything in your browser's local storage. The site has no login, no saved preferences and no session to keep track of, so there is nothing for us to store. The only cookies you will find are placed by Google's advertising, described in section 8, and you can see them for yourself under Storage in your browser's developer tools. Our Cookie Policy covers this in more detail.

7. Analytics

We do not currently run a web analytics product such as Google Analytics on this site. If that changes, we will describe it in this section and update the date at the top of this page.

8. Advertising and Google AdSense

Mavertex is free and has no paid tier. It is funded by advertising, and we think you should know exactly what that involves.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
• Third-party vendors and ad networks may also place cookies or use web beacons to measure whether an ad was seen or clicked. We do not control those cookies and cannot read them.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google at Google Ad Settings. You can opt out of personalised advertising by many other vendors at aboutads.info or at optout.networkadvertising.org. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant.

9. What We Never Do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
• We do not store the files you process with browser-based tools, because we never receive them.
• We do not require an account, and we do not build a profile of you across visits.
• We do not send marketing email. There is no mailing list.

10. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, data protection law gives you the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is processed, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we process data it is on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, or on your consent where consent is required for advertising cookies.

In practice we hold very little that could identify you: server logs, and any message you have sent us. To make a request, email info@mavertex.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Your Rights Under CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Requests can be sent to the same address above.

12. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in parts of the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. International Transfers and Security

Our hosting and the third-party services described above may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but the strongest protection here is structural: for most tools, the sensitive data never leaves your device at all.

14. Changes to This Policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We do not keep a mailing list, so the date is the way to tell whether anything has changed since you last read it.
