Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms apply to your use of mavertex.com and the tools on it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site. Mavertex is operated by Priyanka K, a freelance web developer based in Chennai, India, and can be reached at info@mavertex.com.

2. What the Service Is

Mavertex provides free browser-based utilities: PDF tools, image tools, developer utilities, calculators, text tools and network lookups. There is no account, no subscription and no charge. The site is funded by advertising.

Because there is no contract and no fee, there is also no service level. Tools may be added, changed or removed, and the site may be unavailable at times. We will not always announce this in advance.

3. Your Files and Your Content

You keep all rights to the files and text you process here. We claim no ownership of them and no licence to use them.

For most tools we could not use them even if we wanted to, because the processing happens in your browser and nothing is sent to us. A small number of tools do send data to a server; they are listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not store that data or use it for any purpose beyond returning your result.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the site to:

• process content you have no legal right to process, including copyrighted material you do not own or licence;
• create documents intended to deceive, such as forged invoices, fake identification or falsified records;
• attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or the servers behind it;
• run automated scripts that hammer the tools or scrape them at a volume that degrades the service for others;
• attempt to bypass, hide or interfere with the advertising that funds the site.

We may block access where use appears abusive. Since there are no accounts, this generally means blocking at the network level.

5. No Professional Advice

Several tools produce figures or documents that look authoritative. They are not professional advice, and you should treat their output as a starting point to be checked:

• The EMI Calculator is an estimate using the standard reducing-balance formula. It ignores fees, insurance and rate changes, and is not a loan quote.
• The Invoice Generator produces a document, not accounting or tax advice. Whether an invoice meets your local legal requirements is for you or your accountant to confirm.
• The Carbon Footprint and Scope 3 calculators are screening estimates using published emission factors, not an assurance-grade inventory.
• The Grammar Checker, Text Summarizer and translation tools make mistakes. Proofread anything that matters.
• The Horoscope and Love Calculator are entertainment. They have no predictive value and we make no claim otherwise.
• WHOIS, DNS and domain availability results come from third-party registries and reflect what those systems report at that moment.

6. Keep Your Originals

Several tools change files in ways that cannot be undone: compression discards image or PDF detail, and conversion between formats can drop transparency or make text unselectable. Always keep the original file. We have no copy to restore from, because we never received one.

7. No Warranty

The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result it produces will be accurate or suitable for your purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mavertex and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the site.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions do not apply to you.

9. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The site displays advertising through Google AdSense. We do not choose the individual ads and do not endorse the products in them. Some tools rely on third-party services, which are named in our Privacy Policy; those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or behaviour.

10. Intellectual Property

The design, text and original code of this site belong to its operator. You may use the tools freely for personal or commercial work, and anything you produce with them is yours. You may not copy the site itself and present it as your own.

Several tools are built on open-source libraries, which remain the property of their authors and are used under their respective licences.

11. Changes to These Terms

These terms may change. The date at the top of this page shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you use the site from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your local law.
