Three Dimensional Modeling
Access incredibly precise floating-point architecture ensuring your converted mathematics remain perfectly viable for engineering tolerances.
Distance & Layout
Transition freely down the scale from global Kilometers navigating road trips, all the way into fractional millimeters mapping out carpentry blueprints.
Mass & Weight
Ascertain precise cargo loads converting massive Metric Tons down to Pounds, or scale culinary ingredients from Grams directly into Ounces natively.
Thermal Calibration
Quickly cross-reference ambient weather forecasts toggling between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Scientific Kelvin bases are also provided for lab calculations.
Designed For Speed
Culinary Conversions
Attempting to bake a European cake in an American kitchen? Seamlessly map metric flour weights into familiar imperial measurements to avoid wrecking the recipe.
Travel Planning
Make sense of foreign speed limit signs parsing kilometers per hour, or double check your checked luggage weight limit (20kg) to avoid steep airport overweight fees.

Frequently Asked Questions
How precise are the conversions?
Calculations run at JavaScript's full 64-bit floating-point precision (roughly 16 significant digits). The displayed result is rounded for readability, but the underlying math doesn't drift.
Why do temperature conversions work differently from other units?
Most conversions are a simple multiplication (1 kg = 2.20462 lb), but Celsius and Fahrenheit have different zero points, so the formula includes an offset: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. That's why 0°C is 32°F, not 0°F.
What's the difference between a US gallon and an imperial gallon?
A US gallon is about 3.785 liters; an imperial (UK) gallon is about 4.546 liters — a 20% difference. The same split affects pints and fluid ounces, so always check which system a recipe or spec sheet means.
Are these conversions based on official definitions?
Yes — conversion factors follow the international standard (SI) definitions, e.g. 1 inch is exactly 25.4 mm and 1 pound is exactly 0.45359237 kg by definition, not approximation.
Does the converter work offline?
Once the page is loaded, yes — all conversion math runs locally in your browser with no server involved.
