🔄

Rotate 90°, 180°, or 270°

Choose from three rotation angles: 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise (same as 270°), or 180° to flip upside-down pages right-side up. The rotation is applied permanently to the PDF.

📄

Rotate All Pages or Specific Ones

Rotate every page in your document at once, or specify individual page numbers and ranges (e.g., "2, 5-8") to fix only the pages that need it. Great for mixed-orientation scans.

💾

Permanent — Saves to the File

Unlike viewers that just display pages differently, our tool writes the rotation directly into the PDF file metadata. Whoever opens your document — in any viewer — will see the correct orientation.

Instant Processing

Rotation happens directly in your browser using the pdf-lib JavaScript library. There is no upload round-trip, so your rotated PDF is ready within seconds — even for long documents.

🔒

100% Private — Nothing Is Uploaded

Your PDF file is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No data is ever sent to our servers. No account, no signup, no data collection. What you rotate stays with you.

📱

Works on Any Device

Whether you're on a desktop, laptop, iPhone, or Android tablet — our rotator works in any modern browser. No app to install, no plugin to enable, just open and use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the rotation permanent or just a display setting?

It's permanent. Our tool uses pdf-lib to write the rotation angles directly into the PDF's page metadata. When you download the file and open it in any PDF viewer — Adobe Reader, Preview, Chrome, anything — the pages will be correctly oriented.

Can I rotate only some pages, not all of them?

Yes! You can specify exactly which pages to rotate using a range format like "1, 3, 5-8". Only those pages will have their orientation changed; the rest will remain untouched.

What's the difference between 90° clockwise and 90° counter-clockwise?

If a page is landscape-oriented and leans to the right (text is rotated so you'd tilt your head right to read it), use 90° counter-clockwise to fix it. If it leans to the left, use 90° clockwise. 180° flips the page completely upside-down — or right-side up if it was upside-down.

Are my files sent to your servers?

Absolutely not. Everything happens inside your browser tab. Your PDF bytes are loaded into browser memory, rotated using the pdf-lib JavaScript library, and the resulting file is generated locally. Nothing ever touches our servers.

Can I rotate a scanned PDF?

Yes. Scanned PDFs are images embedded in a PDF wrapper. Our rotator changes the page orientation of the wrapper, which effectively rotates the image content too. The result looks correct when opened in any viewer.

Will rotating affect text searchability or image quality?

No. Rotation only changes a metadata flag in the PDF that tells viewers how to display the page. It doesn't re-render or re-compress any content, so text selectability, image quality, and all other content remain completely intact.

Who Uses This PDF Rotator?

🖨️ People Working with Scans

Scanners often produce sideways or upside-down pages depending on how documents are fed. Fix the orientation permanently before filing, emailing, or printing.

🎓 Students & Teachers

Lecture slides that were saved in landscape or a worksheet scanned sideways — rotate it to portrait so it reads naturally in a PDF viewer or when printed.

👨‍⚖️ Legal & Administrative Staff

Court documents, contracts, and forms often come in mixed orientations after scanning. Fix each page so the full document reads consistently front to back.

🏢 Office Workers & Remote Teams

Shared PDFs viewed on laptops, phones, and tablets need to be in the right orientation to be readable without viewers needing to manually rotate — fix it once and it works everywhere.
